Design Books to Inspire
It's been a cold and rainy Friday here in New York and I'm planning on kicking off the weekend with a quiet night at home, flipping through some of my favorite design books.
Heavy coffee table books with big glossy photos are one of my favorite sources of inspiration. And on a dreary night when you don't even want to think about venturing out, you can get a glimpse into beautiful spaces on the empty plains of Texas, elegant Scandinavian homes, hidden surf shacks across the country, or the Southwestern ranches where Georgia O'Keeffe lived and worked--without leaving your couch.
Here I've gathered some favorites from my own collection as well as some titles that are on my wish list.
1. Scandinavia Dreaming: Nordic Homes, Interiors and Design
2. Commune: Designed in California
3. The Wes Anderson Collection: The Grand Budapest Hotel
4. Georgia O'Keeffe and Her Houses: Ghost Ranch and Abiquiu
5. Surf Shacks: An Eclectic Compilation of Surfers' Homes from Coast to Coast
6. A Frame for Life: The Designs of StudioIlse
7. Marfa Modern: Artistic Interiors of the West Texas High Desert
8. Bringing Nature Home: Floral Arrangements Inspired by Nature
